Turn on your television and you are bound to see advertisements, often with celebrity endorsements, for Medicare Advantage Plans also known as Medicare Part C.

The ads emphasize all the “FREE” benefits  participants in traditional Medicare are missing by not signing up for an Advantage Plan. Actually, there is no such thing as “FREE” benefits. All Medicare Advantage Plans are offered by for profit healthcare insurance companies.
