Television is flooded with ads for high tech nonstick cookware coatings they claim are virtually indestructible. They come with limited lifetime warranties that usually include many exclusions.
No nonstick coating has been proven to equal or outlast uncoated cookware like stainless steel. Scenes of burnt-on foods that are impossible to remove are exaggerated to sell their revolutionary new cookware. Charred foods is usually due to negligence, not the cookware.

Thanks to the open Internet, anyone can leave a review, comment, or rating. Some are accurate and helpful and others are not. Up to 50% of online reviews are fake.
After years of looking for an induction compatible griddle for my cooking videos, I found the GreenPan® Valencia Pro griddle. Like most products, it was rated 1 to 5 stars. The 1-star reviews claimed everything stuck to the griddle and it was very difficult to clean. These reviews contradicted reviews by highly reputable sources. Not surprisingly, the highly reputable sources won out.
